As a successful real estate agent and the Chief Operations
Officer and Partner at Leaskou Partners, John brings a wealth of experience and
expertise to the table. Though he started his career in the restaurant business
directly after finishing high school, he eventually homed in on his passion for
real estate after moving to California in 1999. With his flexible schedule,
part of his decision was the ability to be present for his son. John started
his real estate career as a transaction coordinator, working his way up to
office manager before breaking out on his own and becoming a buyer’s agent in
the mid-2000s. Over the years, John has developed a specialization in
second-home buying, helping buyers build equity through strategic updates and
upgrades. In 2020, John became the Chief Operations Officer and Partner at
Leaskou Partners. He has been instrumental in the company’s growth, helping to
expand its reach and services to better serve clients throughout the Coachella
Valley and Joshua Tree Corridor. John is extremely grateful for his life
partner of 15 years, Phillip, who has been a constant support throughout his
career, and their three fur babies, whom they affectionately call the Leaskou
Pups. Throughout his career, John has achieved many notable accomplishments,
including serving on the Board of Directors and as Treasurer of the Palm
Springs Association of Realtors. In 2015, John was chosen as the recipient of
the President’s Award – a high distinction within the Association. As Director
of Operations at Leaskou Partners, and then later as Chief Operations Officer,
John founded a successful and profitable DRE escrow company, Joshua Tree
Escrow, and spearheaded the expansion of multiple ancillary ventures featuring
commercial real estate with The Firm Commercial, the rental and property
management wing Desert Lifestyle Vacation Homes, and BetterNHD with MyNHD, a
white-page natural hazards disclosure operation. John’s clients appreciate his
